Gay men (in my experiance) dont go in for the gender play very much at all. I have a few ideas why this would be. Most of them involve gay man having regressive and outdated concepts of gender.

Kind of like the same reason trans really blew up when the numbers of FTMs started to grow. A bio-male "backsliding" into less privlaged female-hood was considored a curiosity and a rarity. A bio-female who dares to have the audacity to assume any degree of male privlage is much more attention grabbing, as it is more threatening to the status quo.

Many gay men have faught long and hard to express their masculinity, so they find such "backsliding" distasteful. Predominantly white, privlaged, males are very loathe to give up that privlage, even for a few minutes in the bedroom. Stupid fucks. Bending yer gender and coming out the other end intact could only strengthen your appreciation of your own masculinity.
